MILES FOR MYLES
The University of North Alabama men's
basketball team took time away from the
basketball court to participate in the
MILES for MYLES initiative. This program
was designed to perpetuate the
leadership legacy of the late NCAA
President Myles Brand and to carry on
with his valiant fight against
pancreatic cancer.
Developed by the National Association of
Basketball Coaches (NABC), which has
been joined by the WBCA, NCAA and NACDA
as partners, MILES for MYLES provides an
opportunity for the collegiate athletic
community to demonstrate its solidarity
and to raise awareness and contribute
funds for cancer research, specifically
in the area of pancreatic cancer.
The UNA men's basketball team along with
several local ACS / CvC team members
blanketed Spirit Hill and raised over
$1,000.00.
