LIONS RANKED 17th

After going 1-1 this past weekend in the Gulf South Conference Basketball Tournament, the University of North Alabama men's basketball team dropped nine spots in the final NABC/Division II Coaches Poll prior to the Division II National Tournament. UNA, 24-8 overall, debuted in the poll three weeks ago at No. 23 and then moved up to 19th. Last week the Lions jumped 11 spots to No. 8 in the nation. North Alabama will travel to Lakeland, FL, to face Christian Brothers in the first round of the eight-team South Regional beginning Saturday.
