UNA'S HOLT NAMED ALL-SOUTH REGION

FLORENCE -- University of North Alabama senior forward Casey Holt of Culleoka, Tenn., has been selected first-team All-South Region by Daktronics and the NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors.

Holt, who was previously selected first-team All-Gulf South Conference and GSC East Division Player of the Year, averages 18.1 points and 8.5 rebounds this season. He has scored in double-figures 28 times and has 12 double-figure rebound games and 10 double-doubles.

He currently ranks 13th among UNA's all-time leading scorers with 1,158 points.

Holt has helped lead UNA to a 24-8 overall record and into this weekend's NCAA Division II South Regional Tournament in Lakeland, FL. UNA will take on Christian Brothers Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
With his selection to the first-team all-region squad, Holt will now advance to the Daktronics All-American ballot.
