CASEY HOLT RECEIVES ALL-AMERICAN HONOR

FLORENCE -- University of North Alabama senior forward Casey Holt of Culleoka, TN., has been named honorable mention All-American by the Division II Bulletin.

Holt has previously been honored as first-team All-Gulf South Conference, GSC East Division Player of the Year, three-time GSC Player of the Week, first-team Daktronics All-South Region, first-team NABC All-South Region and to the All-South Region Tournament team.

Holt started all 36 games for the Lions this season while helping lead the Lions to a 27-9 record and into the Division II Elite Eight. He set a UNA single-season scoring record with 640 points, breaking the mark of Dabbs Earnest that had stood since 1961-62.

He averaged 17.8 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per game and scored in double-figures 32 times with 11 double-doubles during the 2007-08 season.
