UNA'S FRAISE & JOHNSON EARN ALL-AMERICAN RECOGNITION

University of North Alabama seniors Thomas Fraise and Kenny Johnson (pictured) have received honorable mention All-American recognition from the Division II Bulletin - The Monthly Newsletter of Division II Men's Basketball.

Johnson, a Plaquemine, LA, native, was previously named first-team All-Gulf South Conference and GSC East Division Player of the Year. He was also first-team NABC All-South Region and first-team Daktronics All-South Region. This season he averaged 15.5 points per game, shot 51.9 percent from the floor and 81.3 percent from the free throw line. He ranked third in the GSC in assists at 5.04 per game and ranked fourth nationally in assist turnover ratio. He finished his career with 1.135 points to rank 16th all-time at UNA.

Fraise, a New Orleans, LA, native, was also first-team All-GSC, first-team NABC all-region and second-team Daktronics All-South Region. He averaged 17.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He scored 1,038 career points to rank 20th in UNA history.

Both players also played in the NABC Division II All-Star Game at the Basketball Hall of Fame.

UNA's Casey Holt was an honorable mention All-American pick by the Division II Bulletin in 2007-08.
